...sometimes the simple things mean the most...

While I was home in MA for Christmas, Matt and I took Eli (some friends of ours 2 1/2 year old son) to La Salette Shrine in Attleboro, to look at the Christmas lights.
It was nice to see his excitement as we drove up to the entrance and he began to see all the lights from his car seat. As we got out of the car his first words were not about the lights or the music, but they in fact were..."smells like poop." And the reason why this is so adorable and funny was because it did in fact smell like poop!

As we walked around he was telling us he heard bells, but then we arrived at a statue of Mary and Joesph and a donkey. And this is when the simple fun of a child made me smile :)

This is when we was looking up at Mary and talking to her.

Then he decided that he wanted a turn on the donkey so he began to tell her to GET OFF!

Seeing the smile on his face made me realize that its not always the huge experiences of life that are the most enjoyable or meaningful, but that we need to be like children to notice the beauty of life at times.

...and I need to add these lat two pictures because they are so doah darn cute!
